Amanda's training began at Peggy Peat School of Dance at the age of three. Studying extensivelyin all forms of the art, she excelled in jazz/lyrical and tap. In 2004 she won first place overall at the World Championships in Germany for my tap solo, as well as tap duet. Amanda was Provincial Representative in Stage for four consecutive years. In 2005 she was the BC Provincial Runner - up in Vernon. She also began my professional career at the age of 16 working in various venues through out Greater Vancouver. Amanda have been featured in many shows celebrating the 2010 Olympic Games, worked closely with Cirque du Soliel, and took on the leading role in The Source Dance Company 2005/06. She danced for the Vancouver Grizzlies, toured western Canada with the Great Big Boo production, and performed at the PNE from 2003 - 2005. After graduating in 2005 Amanda was offered a position with Princess Cruise Lines. Which she completed 2 contracts with them. Most recently she worked onboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, performing in many styles including jazz, modern, hip hop, salsa, ballroom, swing, and tap. |
