It will be a busy, busy month and it is mandatory NO classes are missed in January.
I have a tentitive line up for the pre- competition show at the bottom of this email.... Please go over it with your child and make sure there are no conflicts or missing dances- it will be a LONG show but I will do my best to make everything go as quickly as possible... Tickets will be on sale Monday January 11th...Tickets are limited and there is only ONE show..so don't wait!!!
Costumes: Most costumes have arrived at the studio and balances will be billed out the 2nd week of January. Costume balances MUST be paid before costumes can be taken home.
Consession: We have the ability to set up a consession at GW Graham for our Pre Comp Show. We get 90 percent of the profit with 10 percent going to the GW Graham Theatre! If anyone is interested in doing this fundraiser please let Jacquie in the office know! We have also asked to do the Chilliwack Festival Consession as I mentioned in our Competition Meeting in September...but no one has really shown serious interest.

THE WEEK OF JANUARY 11th-15th
PD COMPETITION "COMPANY" PHOTO'S....I had a great idea of showcasing our dancers in Black and White photos. My friend Holli Veenstra will be taking the pictures and we will the have the ability to make copies! This week we will be taking a group shot of our dancers the first 10 minutes of class. If the time is scheduled for your child and it's not their normal dance time...please try your best to get them there. I will be showcasing the photos in the lobby of the show/website and year end video!
WHAT TO WEAR: BLACK DANCE WEAR- Can be pd wear, no other logos or writing on the clothing.
HAIR: Casual, but done nicely
MAKEUP: Not stage makeup- Think school photo!!

FULL COSTUME, MAKE UP & HAIR MANDATORY!!!! Dancers need to be organized and be backstage 2 numbers before their dance. If you miss your enterance and are not ready to perform you will not be in the Saturday show... So make sure you know when you need to be backstage.
Absolutly NO parents in the theatre at this time... Parents are allowed backstage to help with quick changes, etc.

Ballroom Blitz- 2 Messy buns- I suggest a hairpiece that you can back comb and clip in...quick changes are possible! You will thank me if you don't have to use a whole bottle of condtitioner after every performance ;) The costume will include 2 fun hair bows and some other hair acces.
Costume pieces will include: 2 lace gloves, 2 hair bows, 2 high socks with bows, tutu & bodysuit.
