PROJECT DANCE COMPETITION MAKE UP 2010.11

This year we really want to up our professionalism in our appearance for ALL performances and competitions.  We have brightened up the lipstick for this year.  We have also added a darker brown eye shadow to our makeup requirements.

It is each dancers responsibility to have their own set of each of the detailed list below.  Dancers MUST have false eyelashes on for every performance/competition.

Important items to bring to competition:
-we recommend that each dancer has a bin or a tote that all these items will stay in for the showcase/competition season.

1. CD & ipod or mp3 player with competition routines
2. Hairspray, gel, etc.
3. Bobby Pins
4. Elastics (Same color as hair please!)
5. Nail polish Remover
6. Makeup Remover (Some dances will require special make-up...please make sure you have proper remover for quick changes)
7. Makeup case (Makeup detail list below)

MAKE UP DETAILS 2010.11

Foundation:
Any brand a shade darker then skin tone.  Powder to reduce shine should be added as well.

Eyeliner:
Black liquid eyeliner (Any brand)
Application: line to top and bottom lids...bring the edge slightly out to meet (aprox. 2cm)

Eye shadow:
Brand: LOREAL "Wicked"- Matte Eye shadow

Brand: LOREAL (If you already own a similar color in another brand...you can use that)

Application: Brown close to the eye, purple above..... Dark brown closer to the corner of the eye.  Don't forget to blend.  With stage makeup it will look quite dark up close...but important from far away.

Eyelashes...Don't forget the glue:

Mascara:
BLACK mascara should be applied to both the top and bottom eyelashes...apply another coat after eyelashes are applied.

Application: Apply to the apples of the cheeks... you should be able to really notice it.

Lips: MANDATORY everyone has the exact same lipstick.

***Always re-apply a last coat of lipstick right before they go on stage... it disappears quickly.

Hairstyles will be decided and notified in each class during the next couple weeks.  Please make sure whatever hairstyle it is that you practice a couple times before competition so it is a masterpiece by ShowTime.

It's going to be an excellent competition season.  We want to remind you to keep encouraging your children to practice every day at home.  We will be on the stage in 6 short weeks ...so we are entering crunch time!
